Dolores M. Kohlhas

Dolores M. Kohlhas, formerly of Downingtown Dolores M. Kohlhas, 84, of Willow Street, formerly of Downingtown, passed away on Feb. 11, 2013 at her home. Born in Philadelphia on March 10, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Elsie (nee Wagner) Meder. Dolores was an alumna of Frankford High School and Ursinus College '49. She was a substitute teacher for the Downingtown Schools in the 1960's and 70's. Dolores was past president of the Downingtown Women's Club and the Pennsylvania Federation of Women's Clubs and a board member for the Independence Hall Preservation Fund. She was the beloved wife of the late David M. Kohlhas. She is survived by her children, Nancy Gatschet and John (Jenifer), both of Philadelphia, daughter-in-law Susan of Glenmoore, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Jeffrey Kohlhas. Relatives and friends are invited to Dolores' Life Celebration from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, at Ralston & Bredickas of Downingtown, 107 W. Lancaster Ave. Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday Feb. 16, at Bringhurst Funeral Home, 225 Belmont Ave., Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004. Interment West Laurel Hill Cemetery.
