Elizabeth 'Betty' Stewart (nee Benz) of Newtown Square Betty went peacefully home to be with our Lord, and her husband on Nov. 4, 2013. Betty was a wonderful lady, - ask anyone who knew her! From the time she was young, she was a warm and loving, faith filled women who saw only good in others. She sent cards for every occasion to everyone and loved to play bridge. Actually, she never met a card game she didn't excel at and always tried to be the winner. She was devoted to her husband, Matt, and very proud of her eight children, 23 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Matt; her parents; sisters and brother. She leaves behind her two sons, John (Sue) and Matt (Skip); six daughters, Mary Lou Callahan (John), Joanne Finley (Bill), Kathleen Clark (Bob), Peggy Stewart, Beth Osborn (David), and Terri Fite (Tim); as well as many other relatives and friends. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 8th, at St. Anastasia Roman Catholic Church, Newtown Square. Friends and family can call at the church between 10 and 11 a.m. Interment will be at Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Springfield.
