Joseph V. Bongiorno Esq.

Joseph V. Bongiorno of Downingtown Joseph V. Bongiorno, Esq., of Downingtown, passed away on July 28, 2013. He was 47. Born in Erie, Joseph was both an attorney and musician. He served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Gulf War, where he was able to share his talent as a drummer playing in the 389th U.S. Army Band in Ft. Monmouth, N.J. In May, 2012, he opened the Law Offices of Joseph V. Bongiorno in Exton. A devoted husband and father, Joseph enjoyed fishing with his boys. He loved the ocean which he called his home. He also enjoyed Iaido. Joe loved to cook and try new recipes; he was known for making his famous ribs on his smoker. He is survived by his wife, Kimberly A. (nee Balsis) Bongiorno; his sons Nicholas M. and Andrew L. Bongiorno; his mother Marcyanna (nee Dembinski) Bongiorno; his sister, Rose Ronzitti; three nephews and one niece. He was predeceased by his father, Louis Bongiorno. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Mass at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 2, at St. Elizabeth Church, Rt. 100 & Fellowship Rd., Chester Springs, PA 19425, where friends may call from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. at the church. Friends may also callfrom 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at the Logan Funeral Home, 698 East Lincoln Hwy. (Ship Rd. & Rt. 30), Exton, PA 19341. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joe's memory may be made to The Bongiorno Children's College Fund, 256 Eagleview Blvd., Suite 358, Exton, PA 19341.
