Kenneth E. Ballinger

Kenneth E. Ballinger of Kennett Square Ken was born on Oct. 29, 1920 and passed away peacefully on Oct. 24, 2013. A graduate of Haddonfield High School and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, Ken served as a B-26 pilot in World War II. He completed 63 combat missions throughout the European theater including D-Day. Ken married Jeanne Fretz Ballinger in 1946 and had four sons, Ken Jr., William, Franklin and John. He leaves nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He will be missed by his loving family. His business career was with Allstate Insurance Company as a sales and training manager until his retirement in 1982. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 15th at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 10 West Pleasant Grove Road, West Chester PA 19382. Interment private.
