Lois A. Miller

Lois A. Miller of Downingtown Lois A. Miller, 81, of Downingtown, passed away on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012 at Paoli Memorial Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Clyde H. Miller, with whom she shared 61 years of marriage. Born in Downingtown, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Eva Mae Faddis Strouse. She was employed as a weaver with Collins & Aikman, and later stayed at home to raise her family. Lois enjoyed crossword puzzles, knitting, crocheting, bowling, and shopping. She loved spending time with her family at their summer home in Rehoboth Beach, where she enjoyed flounder fishing, camping, and people watching on the boardwalk. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Coatesville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Mary Eva Lock (Jon) of Seabeck, Wash., Sharon Pratt (Richard) of Coatesville, Nancy Sheller (Edwin Hayes) of Ephrata, and Ruth Lock (Don) of Coatesville; and by 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one brother, two sisters and one grandson. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14th at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, where family and friends may call from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Hephzibah Baptist Cemetery, East Fallowfield.
