Lorraine Lynn Brown

Lorraine Lynn Brown of Oxford Lorraine Lynn Brown, 82, of Oxford, passed away Fri., July 12, 2013 at Christiana Hospital, Newark, Del. She was the wife of the late Rufus Edward Brown. Born in Winchester, Va., she was the daughter of the late Charles Eldridge and Geneva Lillian Lewis Lynn. Lorraine was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend to everyone she met. She was a member of the Church of God, Oxford, a member and past president of the Friends of Nottingham Park and was a democratic committee woman with West Nottingham Township. She is survived by one son, Edward Wayne Brown and his wife, Jennifer of Oxford; two daughters, Crystal Lynn Dunfee and her husband, Edward of Oxford and Sheila Faye McBreen of Binghamton, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Shawn McBreen, Alisha Hettinger and Nathaniel Dunfee; two brothers, Ernest Walker Leake, Jr. and Roger Lewis Leake both of Va.; and one sister, Maxine Marie "Patsy" Marr of Va. She was preceded in death by a sister, Rebecca Johns and a son-in-law, Glenn McBreen. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 18, at the Edward L. Collins, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 86 Pine St., Oxford, where friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Interment will be private.
