Mary V. (Petery) Corrigan, 75, of Manheim, entered into rest on Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, at Lancaster General Hospital, after a courageous battle with breast cancer
She was the wife of Bernard F. Corrigan for 38 years last Aug. 1.
Mary retired from the former Raymark, Manheim and held other positions following retirement.
Born Feb. 16, 1938 in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Henry W. and Sarah E. J. (Bleecher) Petery.
Mary attended Christ Lutheran Church.
She also was a member of the Women of the Moose
, Chapter 767, in Lancaster and Downingtown VFW
-Post 845 - Ladies Auxiliary and the Quentin Roosevelt Lion's Club.
Mary volunteered at the Lincoln Middle School library.
Mary was an avid bingo player, enjoyed the beach and roller skating, and was a faithful Baron football fan.
She will be lovingly missed by her husband, Bernie; a sister, Doris L. Grimm of Lancaster; many nieces and nephews; and many great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward H. Petery and Richard S. Bleecher.
Mary's Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 19, at the Andrew T. Scheid Funeral Home "Sullivan Home", 121 S. Prince St., Lancaster, Pa. (on-site parking with attendants).
The viewing will be from 1 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in the Riverview Burial Park, Lancaster, Pa.
