Nicholas Madrigale, formerly of Downingtown Nicholas Madrigale passed away peacefully on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013 at St. Rose Hospital in Henderson, Nev., surrounded by his family. He lived a full life at the age of 86. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Margaret "Peggy"; their children, Donna Schepps of West Chester, Rhonda Mascio of Phoenixville, Nicholas Madrigale Jr. (Eileen) of Avon, Fla., Marlene Leonard (Barry) of Coatesville, Robert Madrigale (Lisa) of Henderson, Nev., and Monica Barnes (John) of Downingtown); 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Albert Madrigale. He was born in Philadelphia, and was a lifelong resident of Downingtown. Most knew him around town for the family's butcher shop and grocery store, Madrigale Meats/ Downingtown Wholesale Meats. He also enjoyed coaching the Downingtown Little Whippets for many years. , achieving the rank of Private. A Memorial Service was held in his honor at the Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nev. on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013.
