Patricia H. Davis

Patricia H. Davis of Kennett Square Patricia H. Davis, 85, a longtime resident of Kennett Square, died peacefully at Rose Court of Maris Grove on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013 after a long illness. Pat was born in Bethlehem, Pa., daughter of the late Dr. George and Gertrude Harmon. Following graduation from high school and the University of Pennsylvania in 1949, she was married to the late Joseph W. Davis, Jr. and moved around the country with her family over the next twenty eight years before settling in Kennett Square in 1977. Mrs. Davis was active in the Junior League and the Larks singing group. Later she participated in volunteer work with the Keeler Tavern and Ridgefield Community Center while residing in Ridgefield, Connecticut. She was also an active volunteer with the Brandywine River Museum in Chadds Ford, Pa. She was preceded in death by her husband and a son, Joseph Anderson Davis. She is survived by a son, Harmon Davis of Manassas, Va. and two grandsons who reside in Iowa. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday afternoon, Feb. 15, in the Chapel of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 10 W. Pleasant Grove, West Chester. Burial will be private Contributions in her memory may be made to Heartland Hospice, 5 Christy Drive, Suite 103, Chadds Ford, PA 19317 or to the Maris Grove Benevolent Fund, 50 Maris Grove Way, Glen Mills, PA 19342.
