Thea Mae Machamer Farrow(1931 - 2014)

Thea Mae Machamer Farrow of Paoli Thea Mae Machamer Farrow passed away on Jan. 31, 2014. She was 82. She was born on Feb. 27, 1931 in Tower City, Pa. Thea attended Tower City Elementary School and Tower City High School, and was a graduate of Penn State University. Over the years Thea wore many hats; elementary school teacher, retail clerk, receptionist, florist, entrepreneur. But her favorite job (besides mother and grandmother) was as a floral designer. Thea was an active member of the Wayne Woods Garden Club and won a number of blue ribbons in the Philadelphia Flower Show. She helped establish the Junior Garden club at Wayne Woods, instilling her love of flowers to the next generation. She was a long time member of the Altar Guild at Good Samaritan Church and an active participant at Surrey Services in Berwyn. A beautiful soul, Thea was quick with a smile and a kind word for everyone she knew. She will be greatly missed. Thea is survived by her sister, Lois Reiser; sons, Robert and Richard, daughter-in-law Katherine; and grandchildren, Clare Elizabeth and Emily Mae. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Feb. 15, 2014, at The Church of the Good Samaritan in Paoli. Memorial donations may be made in Thea's name to Surrey Services for Seniors.
