William H. Johnson Jr.

William H. Johnson, formerly of West Chester William H. Johnson, Jr., 79, formerly of West Chester, Pa died on November 17, 2013. He was born to the late William H. & Margaret Munro Johnson, Jr. in Tampa, Fla. A longtime resident of West Chester, Pa., he recently moved to Kennett Square. Bill was employed as an electrical engineer for Unisys Co., formerly known as Burroughs. He received his undergraduate and graduate degree in electrical Engineering from the University of Florida. He received his graduate degree from Villanova in water quality management. He was a member of the First Unitarian Church, and the Scottish Munro Clan. He was a former District Chairman for the Chester County Boy Scouts of America. Bill enjoyed gardening, traveling, the arts, barbershop harmony, traveling and attending the Wilmington Opera and Symphony. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Johnson who passed away in 2011 and a brother Warren Johnson. He is survived by a son, William H. (Sharon) Johnson III, a daughter, Megan E. Kellner, a sister, Margaret "Peggy" Roberts and three grandchildren, Billy, Erin & Collin Johnson. His memorial service wil be held on Thurs. Nov. 21, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the First Unitarian Church, 730 Halstead Rd., Wilmington, De 19803. Visitation will be on Thurs. from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Church. Interment private.
