William Jacob (Bill) Graham

William (Bill) Graham of West Chester Long time West Chester resident William Jacob Graham (Bill) died peacefully on July 8, 2013 at Calvert Manor Healthcare Center in Rising Sun, Maryland. Born in North East, Maryland and son of William C. and Bessie A. Graham, William was a 1947 graduate of Rising Sun High School and a 1951 graduate of the University of Maryland where he played varsity baseball and was a member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He earned a masters degree in Human Relations from the University of Delaware in 1962. He entered the army during the Korean War and was commissioned a 2nd Lt. after completing Officer training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. He served with the 5th Regimental Combat Team in Korea where he was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for meritorious service. He joined and ultimately retired from the Army Reserve with the rank of Major. Bill worked for the Budd Company, located in Troy, Michigan, a Thyseem Krupp Automotive Co., in various executive positions retiring in 1997 as Corporate Director of Employee Development. He enjoyed poetry, sports, and Dewey Beach. His interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery with military honors. Arrangements are being made by R.T. Foard Fun-eral Home, P.A., 111 S.
