Evetta S. Smith

Evetta S. Smith of Lititz Evetta S. Smith, 91, of Lititz, Pa., died at Conestoga View, 900 E. King Street, Lancaster, on Nov.r 28, 2013 after a brief illness. Born in Coatesville, she was the widow of Andrew L. Smith, Sr., who died on Sept. 24, 1997. She was the daughter of the late James T. and Margaret Toulson Smith. She was a homemaker and a graduate of Coatesville High School, class of 1939. She was a member of the Hutchinson Memorial U.A.M.E. Church in Coatesville. She sang in the Senior Choir and the Sunrise Choir and was a member of the YMCF Club. Evetta was a Den Mother with Troop 32 Cub Scouts, loved flower arranging and gardening. She is survived by her two sons, Andrew L., Jr., husband of Linda Smith, of Lititz, and Carl J., husband of Beth Smith, of Coatesville; and seven grandchildren. A daughter, Juanita Smith, a brother, Lawrence Smith and two sisters, Harriett Smith Moody and Eunice Price, preceded her in death. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013 from the Coatesville Bible Fellowship Church, 4 North Avenue and East Lincoln Highway, Coatesville, PA 19320, with The Rev. Dr. Dean Vander Wiele officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until time of service, and during a time of fellowship following the service, at the church. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Conestoga View Nursing Home, 900 E. King Street, Lancaster, PA 17602.
