1927 - 2013 Obituary Condolences
Barbara Anne Berlin of West Chester Barbara Anne Berlin, 86, of West Chester, passed away peacefully on Dec. 18, 2013, following a long illness. Barbara was born in Yakima, Wash. to John and Genevieve Quinn on April 2, 1927. Throughout her childhood, the family lived in several different countries including Chile and Romania. Upon returning to Washington, Barbara graduated from the Annie Wright Seminary in Tacoma. She attended Stanford University and graduated in 1948 from the University of Washington in Seattle. After raising six children, Barbara became a real estate agent with Pierce and Bair in Kennett Square. Barbara loved to travel and spend time with her children, grandchildren and the many wonderful friends she had made over the years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her older brother, John, and her husband of 54 years, Gordon E. Berlin. Barbara is survived by her six children and their spouses, John, James (Chris), Richard (Billie Jo), Barbara (Randy), Anne, and Robert (Lisa), in addition to her brother Richard and his family. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter. Friends are invited to visit with Barbara's family from 1:30 to 2 on Saturday afternoon, Jan. 11, 2014, at the Kuzo and Grieco Funeral Home, 250 W. State Street, Kennett Square. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will follow at 2 p.m. Burial will be private.
