Barbara Johnson Obituary

Barbara Brown Johnson, 80, a resident of Maris Grove in Glen Mills, formerly of Marshallton and Villanova, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012. Her parents, George H. Brown Jr. and Helen Fountain Brown of Villanova, preceded her in death. Barbara grew up on the Main Line in Suburban Philadelphia, attended Baldwin School and graduated from Agnes Irwin School in 1951. She lived a life of good fortune. Barbara was a petite woman with a keen wit, impeccable taste and an unerring instinct for people. Her enthusiasm for life was contagious. She was a dedicated mother and devoted to her family. To those she cherished, Barbara was a true and loyal friend. She was graced with both athletic and artistic prowess. Travel, Bridge, Miniaturia and her love for animals, were also her passions. She was a member of The Radnor Hunt Club since 1965. Barbara is survived by her beloved husband, Lawrence Johnson. She was proud to be the mother of Teri Reath D'Ignazio, Tracy Reath Manzella, Sonya Wendy Lord, Bradley Scott Gray, Carter Blake Gray and nine grandchildren. She is also survived by her aunt, Jane Brown Schiel, two step-children, Shelley Johnson McMackin and Jay Johnson. She will always remain deeply in our hearts.
