Brian T. Dero Obituary
Brian T. Dero of Chester Springs Brian T. Dero, 43, of Chester Springs, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his residence after a brief illness on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014. Born in Bryn Mawr, he was the son of the late Robert E. and Christine Kobylanski Dero. Brian was a 1988 graduate of Coatesville High School and a 1993 graduate of Penn State University. Following that, he completed training at the Reading Police Academy. Mr. Dero was currently working at Siemens Healthcare as an IT architect for the past 15 years. He enjoyed traveling, gaming, and spending time at the beach. He was also an avid craft beer enthusiast. He is survived by his mother, Debra Schofield (Steve); and by the love of his life, Krista Hartzell, and her daughter, Grace. He is also survived by his grandmother, Claire Kobylanski; aunts, Lois Georeno (Tony), Lori Boyd (Dave), Sandy Berry and Lynn Yeoman; by his uncle, Bruce Berry (Mary Jo); and by his cousins, Christopher and Riley Boyd, Ryan Berry and Nicole Jackson (Rob) and their daughter, Kylee. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Marvin Kobylanski; paternal grandparents, Stanley and Helen Dero; and cousin, Jon Georeno. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18th, at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, where family and friends may call from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Main Line Animal Rescue, 1149 Pike Springs Road, Phoenixville, PA 19425.
