Christopher M. Yasick Obituary
Christopher M. Yasick, formerly of Downingtown Christopher M. Yasick, 25, of Chicago, Ill., formerly of Downingtown, passed away suddenly on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013 at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. Born in Chicago, he was the beloved son of Jennifer Green Yasick and the late Michael E. Yasick. Christopher was a 2006 graduate of Downingtown West High School. He received his bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 2010. Following graduation, Chris began a career at Skyline Steel where he was currently employed as an assistant business development manager. He was also currently working towards his master's degree in structural engineering at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Christopher was an avid supporter of the Longhorns, an adventurous traveler, and an excellent photographer. In addition to his mother, Christopher is survived by his sisters, Katherine E. Yasick of Boston and Emma E. Yasick of Downingtown; paternal grandmother, Darlene Yasick of Wyoming, Mich.; and his loving aunts, uncles, and cousins in Texas, Ind., and Mich. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26th, at St. Elizabeth Church, 100 Fellowship Road, Chester Springs. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25th and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26th, at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown. Interment will be private in Austin, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Christopher M. Yasick Endowed Legacy Fund in Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering at The University of Texas online at engr.utexas.edu/giving - please write in the special information box "Christopher Yasick Legacy Fund".
