Dennis Merritt Rose of West Chester Dennis Merritt Rose, 75, of West Chester, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013 at his home, after a long illness. He was the son of the late Robert S. Rose, Jr. and the late Janet Kelly Rose. Dennis was in his 76th year, and had a long career with General Motors. He attended Wilmington Friends School, Governor Dummer Academy in S. Byfield, Mass., and Penn State University. Dennis was a lifetime member of the West Chester Elks Lodge #853 and was actively involved in their activities. He was an avid reader. Surviving Dennis are a son, Brett Sanderson Rose; a sister, Devereaux R. Bruch; and Carol Lawrence, his devoted friend of many years.
