Edward T. Zazo of Coatesville Edward T. Zazo, 95, died Friday June 13, 2014 at Harrison Senior Living of Christiana, Pa. Born in Coatesville,he was the son of the late Edward Jakubcik and Velma Setnicky Jakubcik Zazo. He was the step son of the late Joseph Zazo. Ed worked for the Veterans Medical Center in Coatesville for 31 years. He served honorably in the United States Army during World War II. Ed participated in the Battle of the Bulge and other battles in the European and African theaters. He was awarded many service medals including 4 bronze stars. He was very active in the VFW and American Legion. Ed marched in many a parade with the Sahler-Sedan Drum and Bugle Corps and the American Legion Honor Guard. Uncle Eddie was part of a loving family and is survived by many nieces and nephews and their extended families. He will be remembered for his kind and gentle ways and his great sense of humor. In addition to his parents, Ed was predeceased by siblings: Lillian Zazo, Josephine Cook, Mary Kellon, Helen Menig, Steve Zazo, William Jakubcik; and step-brothers, Michael Zazo, John Zazo, Joe Zazo and Adam Zazo. A Prayer Service for Ed will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 17th, at Wentz Funeral Home, 342 East Chestnut Street, Coatesville, where family and friends may call beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers memorials in Ed's honor may be made to VFW Post 4480, Robert F. Montgomery Post, War Memorial Fund, 406 Fourth Ave., Parkesburg, PA 19365.
