Genie,
It was with a profound sense of loss that I learned of George's death. When I knew him(Millersville) he was the smartest guy in the room, best athlete, all around winner. I feel very fortunate to have known him.
My thoughts and sympathy are with you and your family.

Needless to say I was devastated when we returned from vacation and going through the paper, read of George's passing.
I enjoyed our conversations as we both endured our chemo treatments as I found him to be warm and very genuine.
I sure wish I had made more trips on Thursdays to see you both. Diane told me he had to have surgery and that was,my last time there.
May God continue to BLESS and comfort your family.

I was always told to measure a man by how he treated those who could do nothing for him. George was truly a gentleman and treated everybody with respect, he was the ultimate man. Will miss him, and in his honor ask everybody to call a friend.. I think he would have appreciated that.

I am a new member at Applebrook GC and was introduced to George through a friend this summer. I was instantly taken by his warmth and genuine caring for other people. He was taken from us all too soon and he will be missed.

Some of my fondest memories are when I played couples golf with your Dad and Mom and coaching basketball with your Dad. He was always calm, in control and gracious to others. I will miss him as you will but know that he will always be with you. Love, The Helmigs
