Gordon Herrera Davis

Gordon Herrera Davis of West Chester Gordon Herrera Davis, died on July 23, 2013. He was born in the Panama Canal Zone on Feb. 1, 1926 to the late Maria and John N. Davis. Gordon graduated from Balboa High School in 1943. He served his country in WWII in the Army Air Corps. He graduated from the Canal Zone Junior College and shortly after relocated to upstate New York where he earned a degree in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He married the late Lois Diehl Davis in 1953. They lived in the Albany, N.Y. area until 1972 when they relocated to West Chester. Gordon was an independent business person most of his career. He and wife Lois ran a home furnishings business in Exton and Paoli until retirement in 1990. Gordon is survived by three sons, Gordon Jr., Grant and Greg (Christine); grandchildren, Kelly, Brad, Julia, Andrew; and his very good friend, Joane McNamara.
