Obituary Condolences

James B. Hedrick, formerly of Kennett Square James B. Hedrick, 85, of Taylor, S.C., formerly of Kennett Square, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at his home in Taylor, S.C. He was the husband of Helen Everley Hedrick, and father of three daughters and one son. Born in Marshallton, he was the son of the late Joseph and Vannie Felty Hedrick. James was a U.S. WWII Army veteran, and a retiree of Mushroom Transportation Co. Survivors include, in addition to his wife; daughters, Carol Hedrick, Rosalind Jenkins, Helen Robertson and a son, Charles Hedrick, all of Taylor, S.C.; a brother, George Hedrick, of Avondale; and a sister, Ruth Patterson of West Brandywine; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Hedrick, Jr., sisters, Emma Guthrie, Elizabeth Heckman, Josephine Smith and Anne Lynch. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday May 18, at Calvary Christian Fellowship Church, in Taylor, S.C. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at: www.thewoodmortuary.com.
