Janet L. Hobson of Coatesville Janet L. Hobson, 76, died on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at her home in Coatesville. She was the wife of the late James R. Hobson. Born in Windber, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Robert Aird and the late Lucille Mae Statler Aird. Janet was a very active member of Olive Street Presbyterian Church of Coatesville, where she taught Sunday school. Janet was an avid knitter, loved to sew and make quilts. She also caned chairs, loved to garden, bake, and will be remembered as a wonderful cook. Janet is survived by her children, Janet Lynn Orr of Wilmington, Del., Roy James Hobson of Coatesville and Karen Lucille Benson of Quarryville; and siblings, Robert Aird of Bordentown, and Peggy Veil of Boswell. Also, she is survived by her nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brother, David Aird. Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service at 10 a.m., Saturday, October 6, at the DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc., 410 North Church Street, West Chester, PA 19380, 610-696-1181, www.DellaFH.com, where visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Interment will be in Fountain Lawn Memorial Park, Trenton, N.J.
