Jean Boyer Obituary

Jean Elizabeth Boyer, 69, of West Chester, formerly of Washington, D.C., daughter of the late Reginald Boyer Sr. and Laura McKim Boyer, passed away.
Raised in Avondale by Mollie and Marion Johnson, she attended and graduated from Avon Grove High School.
She was a member of the Women's Alliance Group and the Genealogy Group and was involved in planning the country's bicentennial.
For the last 40 years, she lived and worked in the Washington, D.C., area until retirement.
From 1962 to 1965, she served in the U.S. Army.
Surviving to cherish fond memories are one brother, Charles Richard Boyer; one sister, Lois E. McMillian; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
One brother, L. Reginald Boyer, preceded her in death.
Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 14, at Mt. Tabor AME Zion Church, 314 Church St., Avondale.
Family will greet friends from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.
Interment will be in the Union Hill Cemetery, Kennett Square.
