John A. DiSalvo of Downingtown John A. DiSalvo, 55, of Downingtown, passed away suddenly at his home on Tuesday, October 2, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Mary A. Main DiSalvo, with whom he shared 15 years of marriage. Together they were the center of each other's world for a total of 18 years. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Alfia Oteri DiSalvo and the late Anthony DiSalvo, and the step-son of Yvonne DiSalvo of Lehighton. He was a graduate of Upper Moreland High School and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. John enjoyed listening to music, and singing and performing his own personal concerts at the top of his lungs at home. He also loved watching the Flyers play. In addition to his wife and step-mother, he is survived by his step-son, Randy Ortlip, Jr. and his fiance, Stephanie Cooper and her children, Cierra, Shayne and Ashlee Cooper, all of Parkesburg. He is also survived by his close friends, Joe Mirodi and Walter Glass; and by his beloved dogs, Herbie and Missy. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, October 9th at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, where family and friends may call from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Interment will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Ambler.
