John A. Grasso of West Chester John A. Grasso, 94, passed away peacefully at Pocopson Home in West Chester, on Oct. 8, 2012. John worked as an electrician and was a retired member and former vice president of IBEW Local 654. He was a member of the Aero Club of CHESCO, and the International T-Bird Club. He enjoyed antique and classic cars and models, NASCAR racing and dirt track racing, as well as woodworking. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Staff Sergeant at Fort Sill, Okla. John is survived by his wife, Ruth A. Grasso and his sister, Elizabeth Christensen. He is also survived by his two daughters, Elaine Storlazzi and Jeanne Reed. He leaves behind his wife's nieces, Peggy Bove and Donna Parsons, as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial service is planned for 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 19, at Lima Methodist Church, 209 N. Middletown Road (Rt. 352 N), Lima, PA 19037. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in John's name to Pocopson Home, 1695 Lenape Road, West Chester, PA 19381-6800.
