Joseph C. Lepone Sr.

Joseph C. Lepone Sr. of Newtown Square Joseph C. Lepone, Sr., 87, of Newtown Square, passed away on Aug. 7, 2013. Born in Philadelphia in 1926, Joseph was the son of Rose DelGuidice and Pasquale C. Lepone, both deceased. Joseph was a graduate of LaSalle College where he studied business and accounting. He attended American College of Life Underwriting where he obtained his CLU. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was the general manager of Prudential Insurance and the owner/operator of Franklin Mortgage in West Chester, until he retired in 2005. Joseph was a member of Ss. Simon & Jude Knights of Columbus in West Chester. He taught CCD classes at Ss. Peter & Paul Parish and was also a Eucharistic Minister. He was a member of the Lions Club of West Chester and a volunteer at Medical Missions of Philadelphia. Joseph was the beloved husband of the late Anne M. (Quartucci) Lepone; loving father of Donna Maria Saunders, Joseph C. Lepone (Cynthia), Ann Marie Lepone, and Lisa Anne Boland (William J.); loving grandfather of Jennifer Luckowski (Christopher), Mark A. Ryan (Nicole), Stephanie B. Gennaro, Christian J. Saunders, Chanel Lepone, William J. Boland, Jr. and Mathew B. Boland; and great-grandfather to Tristan, Dylan, Sydnee and Victoria Luckowski, Kayla, Brianna and Mark Ryan and Justan and Joseph Gennaro; dear brother of Dominic (Marie), John, Dolores Lepone, Martha Wasson (Harry), Mary Ann Lepone (Gary), the late Gerald, the late Arnold, the late Mark, the late Anthony, and the late Robert. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing 7 to 9 p.m. this evening, Friday, Aug. 9th, at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, 610-431-9000, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, at Ss. Simon & Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Ct., West Chester, PA 19382, followed by his funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham, Pa.
