Kim Truc 'Loan' Nguyen- Buckwalter of Malvern Kim Buckwalter, 47, loving wife of Darren Buckwalter of Malvern, died Tuesday evening, Jan. 15, 2013, after losing her battle with cancer in the Neighborhood Hospice, West Chester. Kim was born in Saigon Vietnam, a daughter to Khen Nguyen of Cherry Hill, N.J. and the late Thach Nguyen Kim was raised and educated in Saigon where she earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry. Kim came to the United States in 1994. Kim enjoyed gardening and cooking. She was employed for many years at Vishay and also Neighbor Care of King of Prussia. In addition to her husband and mother, Kim is survived by brothers, Trung (Anthony) husband of Kim of Cherry Hill, N.J., Ket (Chris), husband of Van of San Diego, Calif., Phong (Emile) husband of Hoa of Philadelphia, Phi, husband of Quynh of Cherry Hill, N.J. and Phuoc (Jimmy) husband of Vuong, of Collegeville; and a sister, Kim Tram (Nhan) wife of Toan of Malvern; and 16 nieces and nephews. Kim was predeceased by a sister, Kim Diep Nguyen. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, at the Cornerstone Family Church, 1228 Main Street, Linfield, PA 19468, with The Rev. Paul Thornhill officiating. Burial will be private. Her viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, at the Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home, 135 Bridge St. Spring City, PA 19475, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday morning at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made in her memory to the National Arboretum, 3501 New York Ave., NE Washington, D.C. 20002.
