Maymie Helena Bolden Coleman

Maymie H. Bolden Coleman of West Chester Maymie H. Bolden Coleman, 83, passed on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013. Born April 10, 1930 in West Chester, she was the daughter of the late Frank F. and Sarah S. Bolden. Since the early 1960's, Maymie cared for children as a childcare provider and foster parent and worked at Devereux School as a cook for several years. She was a member of St. Luke's UAME Church since 1959, singing on the senior choir, serving as missionary, conference worker, conference missionary and head of the trustee board. One sister, Mary Harmon along with nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, survive her. A joyous service and celebration in song will be 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013 at St. Paul's Baptist Church, One Hagerty Blvd., West Chester, PA with a viewing from 4 to 6 p.m. Uplifting Life Services are being arranged by the DeBaptiste Funeral Homes, Inc. of West Chester and Bryn Mawr.
