Michele Cannon

Michele Cannon, originally of Upper Darby, is suffering no longer from her eight-year battle with cancer. She was 54 years old.
She graduated from Upper Darby High School in 1977.
She raised her children in Newtown Square and had lived in West Chester with her husband, John Cannon, since 1997.
She was the daughter of Lorraine Devine and the late Joseph "Skippy" Devine.
Michele was known for living by her own set of rules, thinking positively, demonstrating incredible strength and unconditional love as a mother. She'd give the shirt off her back for others and typically it was given in her great cooking.
She chose careers that enabled her to do her life's work of providing services and care for others.
She loved to spend summers at the shore and was known lovingly as "Shell-Bell" and "Shelby" to those closest to her.
She will be remembered by her beautiful big blue eyes.
Michele and her sisters were inseparable and she was always so proud of her children's accomplishments. She pushed them to be who they are today.
She is survived by her mother, Lorraine Devine; husband, John Cannon; sisters, Kathy Zappasodi (David) and Janet Jiulianti (Vince); brothers, Joseph (Eileen) and James Devine; daughters, Dana Tucker (Caleb) and Gina Callahan (Stephen); sons, Joseph Nardello and John Cannon (15); grandsons, Chase (4) and Avery (1); and many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation from 8 to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9, at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, 610-431-9000, followed by her funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at Ss. Simon and Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Court, West Chester.
Interment will be in Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
