Numa David Balliet of West Chester Numa David Balliet, 91, passed away after a short illness on Oct. 9, 2012. Numa was born and raised at the Jersey shore. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in both the European and Pacific theaters. A graduate of the Rutgers School of Engineering, he was an electrical engineer with American Electric Power for 35 years before his retirement. He was the husband of the late Dorothy H. Balliet with whom he shared 50 years of marriage. Numa is survived by his daughter, Barbara Balliet and partner, Cheryl Clarke of Jersey City, N.J., his son David Balliet and daughter-in-law, Nancy Balliet recently of Chestertown, Md. and his two grandsons, Ian and Will.
