Dr. Paul E. Green of Paoli Dr. Paul E. Green, 85, of Sunrise at Paoli, formerly of Broomall, passed away on September 21, 2012, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Glenolden, and a U.S. Navy veteran, Dr. Green was the S.S. Kresge professor of marketing at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He had been one of the major architects of modern marketing and practice. He was a most prolific of marketing writers having written over 160 books and 1400 articles. He received the Lifetime Achievement in Marketing Research Award from the American Marketing Association in 1966 where the Paul E. Green Award was established. Dr. Green helped mold a generation of marketing researchers whose influence on marketing education, research and the practical implementation of marketing concepts and tools will shape the future of the marketing discipline. Dr. Green was also an avid skier, enjoyed music and played the piano professionally. Dr. Green was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth A. "Betty" (nee Weamer) Green. He is survived by his children, Patricia A. Rush (Chris), Kenneth P. Green (Bruno Tiano) and Carol L. Rickard; and sister Eleanor Koch. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kelly Secrist Clement, Jaclyn Secrist, William Secrist, Sandra Flemmings Affourtit and Benjamin Rickard; and five great-grandchildren.
