Ralph E. Kramer of Downingtown Ralph E. Kramer, 69, of Downingtown, died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, at the Chester County Hospital in West Chester. He was the husband of Ellen Huber Kramer, sharing 47 years of marriage. Born in West Chester, he was the son of the late Ralph Kramer and the late Laurene Pass Kramer. Ralph graduated in 1962 from West Chester Joint High School and worked for Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line, later Williams Co., for 30 years. Ralph was the President of First West Chester Fire Company and was very active in the building committee during 1988 and in 2012. He also belonged to Fame Fire Co., Goshen Fire Co., Thorndale Fire Co., Masonic Lodge #309 of Downingtown, the
#853 of West Chester, Rajah Shrine, Chester County Emerald Society Pipe Band, Red Knights M.C. Club and the Chester County Antique Car Club. His greatest love was his family, especially spending time with his grandsons. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Diane M. Powers (Donald); son, Jeffrey M. Kramer (Dana); two grandsons, Andrew W. Powers and Ian M. Powers; sister, Nancy Caroll of Fla.; and brother, Charles Kramer of Coatesville. He was preceded in death by half-sister, Edith Roeschen, half-brother, Thomas Walraven and sister, Kathleen Doyle. Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Service, 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013 at the DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc., 410 North Church Street, West Chester, PA 19380; 610-696-1181;
. Visitations will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, with a Masonic Service at 8 p.m. Also, from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013 at the funeral home. Interment St. Agnes Cemetery West Chester. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to First West Chester Fire Co., 70 S. Bradford Avenue, West Chester, PA 19382.
