Ralph DiCarlo Sr. of Kennett Square Much respect and love to a life well lived by big Ralph Joseph DiCarlo, Sr., 86 years old, our father, Ralph J. DiCarlo, passed on to be with our mother, Olga Grace DiCarlo on Sunday morning, Jan. 27, 2013. He passed away peacefully at Linden Hall in Kennett Square. His late parents, Domenic DiCarlo and Palma Rose DiFrancesco DiCarlo, were Italian immigrants from the Abruzzi region of Italy. Ralph was a WWII decorated veteran, and a police officer in Kennett Square, before spending many years working in the mushroom business as a grower and a wholesaler. He served on the Unionville High School Board and started the Unionville High School Football Boosters Program. He was an avid baseball and football fan. He was well loved by family and friends alike. Ralph is survived by four sons, Mark, Drew, Raffaello and Franco; five granddaughters, Sasha, Athina, Caitlin, Kieran, and Giavanna; two grand-sons, Drew and Ian; beloved daughters-in-law, Amanda and Dawn; and sister, Lucy DiCarlo Cozzone. A viewing is scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday Feb. 1st, at the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home, 250 West State Street, Kennett Square, and again from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2nd, at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, at Saint Patrick's Church, 212 Meredith Street, Kennett Square, with burial immediately following in St. Patrick's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers we ask that you send a donation in honor of our father and all veterans to The American Legion, William W. Fahey Post No. 491, 208 East State street, Kennett Square, PA 19348.
