Roberta C. Maris

Roberta C. Maris, 71, of West Chester, died Thursday, June 6, 2013, at Pocopson Home, West Chester.
She was the wife of William G. Maris Jr., who preceded her in death in March 2013, having shared 51 years of marriage.
Born in Valley Township, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Sophie Mathias.
Roberta was a 1959 graduate of Coatesville High School.
She was employed as a cafeteria worker at the New Eagle Elementary School in the Tredyffrin/Easttown School District.
She was a former member of the 1st Baptist Church of Coatesville and a current member of the 1st Baptist Church of Malvern.
Roberta enjoyed watching sports, especially baseball and football, and reading.
Surviving her are her sons, Thomas R. Maris and Timothy A. Maris; a brother, Harold Mathias; and 10 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, at the Harris-Mountain Funeral Home, 1030 E. Lincoln Highway, Coatesville.
Family and friends may call beginning at 1 p.m.
Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Coatesville.
