Ruth F. Benner

Ruth F. Benner, formerly of West Chester Ruth F. Benner, 92, of Murrells Inlet, S.C., formerly of West Chester, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2013. She was the wife of the late Linwood Benner, Sr., with whom she shared almost 50 years of marriage. Born in Rochester, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late John R. and Frances Pettit Ammerman. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, West Chester, and a Charter member of the WWII Memorial in Washington, D.C. She was employed at the Denney Reyburn Tag Co. for 40 years. Ruth is survived by her son, Linwood, Jr.; grandson, Linwood, III; and great grandson, Aaron M. Ryan of Virginia. She is also survived by her brother, Robert Ammerman; nephew, Robert T. Ammerman and family of Cincinnati, Ohio; and dear friends, Joan Chandler of West Chester and Doris Lindenwald of Murrells Inlet, S.C. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 5, at the Founds Funeral Home, Inc., 229 South High Street, West Chester, 610-696-0134, where the family will receive guests starting at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Green Mount Cemetery.
