Thomas Allen Laudenslager Jr. of Hershey's Mill Thomas Allen Laudenslager, Jr., 79, of Hershey's Mill in West Chester, passed away after a brief illness on Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at his home. Born in Allentown, he graduated from Allentown High School in 1951. Tom served in the Army during the Korean War and graduated from Penn State in 1959. He was first employed by Sealtest Foods in Washington D.C., Camden, N.J. and Philadelphia. Tom then went to work for Wawa and after 26 years he retired as the vice-president of dairy, warehouses and distribution. He was past president of the Pennsylvania Association of Milk Dealers, former chairman of Master Dairies, served on the board of Junior Achievement and was an active Rotarian. Tom attended the West Chester United Methodist Church and was an active member of the Philadelphia Golf Association and Hershey's Mill Golf Club where he served on the Golf Committee and the Greens Committee. He also served on the Franklin Village Council and the Sewer Committee. Tom's favorite past times were skiing, golfing, biking, Penn State Football and Wawa coffee. He is survived by his wife, Mary (Kitty) Laudenslager; daughters, Sharon Barron and her husband John of Fayetteville, Ga., Karen Fariss of Jonesboro, Ga. and Lisa Ressler of Claymont, Del.; and grandchildren, Jason Fariss, Julie Fariss and Joshua Ressler. Relatives and friends are invited to his Memorial Service, 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013 at the West Chester United Methodist Church, 129 S. High St., West Chester, PA 19382, where friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the West Chester United Methodist Church at the address above.
