W. Kenneth Raezer of West Chester W. Kenneth Raezer, 95, of West Chester died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013. The son of the late Edgar T. and Helen E. Raezer, he was a lifelong resident of Chester County and a graduate of West Chester High School. He served in the Army in WW II and was a retired postal worker. He was especially known for his fine woodworking skills and as a dedicated gardener. Ken is survived by daughter, Bette McCarron; son, Kenneth; brothers, Donald, Ellis and Frank; grandchildren, Jeffrey and Robert McCarron, and Cari, Kristin and Andrew Raezer; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Ward, daughter, Jane Lucille, and great-granddaughters, Sarah and Jacqueline McCarron. Friends and family are invited to a life celebration luncheon at 12 noon on Friday, Jan. 11, at The West Chester Diner, 1147 West Chester Pike, West Chester. A private burial service will be held at Glenwood Memorial Gardens, Broomall. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his memory to The Student Conservation Association, Box 550, Charlestown, NH 03603-0550, Attn. Hugh Montgomery for the Sarah McCarron Fund.
