Adamae C. 'Petie' Pickwick of Chester Springs Adamae C. "Petie" Pickwick, 85, of Chester Springs, former resident of Sunrise Assisted Living in Exton, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2013, at St. Martha Manor in Downingtown. She was the loving wife of the late Ralph O. Pickwick, Jr., with whom she had shared 60 years of marriage at the time of his passing in 2009. Born in Williamsport, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Leslie M. and Ada McMichael Cohen. She was a 1945 graduate of William Allen High School in Allentown, and received her registered nursing degree from Allentown Hospital School of Nursing. After working as a nurse for one year, she chose to become a homemaker and be with her children as they were growing up. She enjoyed cross-stitching, crossword puzzles, reading and spending time with her family who knew her as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Pickwick is survived by her son, Ralph O. Pickwick, III and wife, Patricia, of Atlanta, Ga.; and daughters, Susan J. Massimini and husband, Daniel, Jr., of Downingtown, and Barbara A. DiOttavio and husband, James, Jr., of Coatesville. She is also survived by grandchildren, Amy, Ralph, IV, Kelli, Nanci, Daniel, III, James, III and Jason; and great-grandchildren, Jenna, Ava and Ryan. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Jane Danneberger. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 27th, at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, where family and friends may call from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Interment will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Downingtown. Memorial contributions may be made to the .
