Born in Green Mountain, N.C., on July 6, 1925, he was the son of the late Luther Bennett and Hester (Peterson) Bennett.
He was the husband of Evelyn (Shull) Bennett. They celebrated 61 years of marriage on July 29.
Albert was a former and charter member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, Rising Sun, Md.
Albert was a self-employed painter for 25 years, also grew mushrooms and worked for Chrysler Corp.
Albert liked NASCAR and gardening, and loved all his family most of all.
He is survived, in addition to his wife, by his daughters, Alice Hostetter, wife of Richard E. of Gap, Pa., and Audrey Salsbury, wife of William of Quarryville, Pa.; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Malone, James and Herbert Bennett; and one sister, Mary Thomas.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Ruth and Patsy Bennett.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12, at the Highland Baptist Church, 1 Highland Road, Parkesburg, followed by interment in the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church of Rising Sun, Md.
The viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11, at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, and again from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday at the church.
