Andy J. Eppolito Obituary
Andy J. Eppolito of Exton Andy J. Eppolito, 99, passed away on March 11, 2014 at the Sunrise of Exton. Born in Frazer on Aug. 17, 1914, he was the son of the late Anthony and Givinina (nee DiGocomo) Eppolito. Andy was the widower of Rose M. Esposito Eppolito to whom he was married for 62 years. He was also predeceased by his daughter, Patricia Ann (LeRoy) Clarke; two sisters, Lena De Matteo and Enos Eppolito; two half brothers, John J. Giannarino who served in the U.S. Marine Corp. and was in the invasion of Guadal Canal, and Alfred Giannarino who was an M.P. with the U.S. Army during World War II. Andy worked 17 years at the Downingtown Paper Company. In 1941 he went to work as a welder at Lukenweld in Coatesville until the end of the war in 1945. After the war he enrolled at the prestigious photography school, the New York Institute of Photography where he studied portrait photography. He was a prominent wedding photographer for 30 years. In 1954 he enrolled at the Di Vilbius spray painting school in Toledo, Ohio. In 1959 he went to work at Milprint, Inc. of Downingtown, working there until his retirement in 1979. He loved gardening, and raised boxwood trees as a hobby. He also did sewing in plastic canvas under the name of Graphic Designs. He is survived by Margaret Ann (Jack) McCombs of Kill Devil Hills, N.C., F. Joseph (Linda) Eppolito of Downingtown, Joanne (Bruce) Welsh of Downingtown, eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to Andy's Life Celebration from 10 to 10:50 a.m. Saturday, March 15th, at St. Joseph's Church, 338 Manor Ave., Downingtown, PA 19335, followed by his Mass at 11 a.m. Interment St. Agnes Cemetery, West Chester. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Joseph Church at the address listed above. Life Celebration service by Ralston & Bredickas of Downingtown.
