Arnold O. Reeves Obituary
Arnold O. Reeves of Coatesville Arnold O. Reeves, 85, of Coatesville, died Sunday, October 30, 2011 at his home. He was the husband of Louise M. Smith Reeves, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage. Born in Glen Roy, Pa., he was the son of the late Jesse M. and Beulah Finney Reeves. Arnold was employed for 27 years as a mechanic with Philadelphia Electric Co., retiring in 1989. He was a member of Thorndale United Methodist Church for 54 years. As a life-long motorcycle enthusiast, he bought his first motorcycle at the age of 17 and rode until two weeks before his death. Arnold was a member of the Eastern Pennsylvania Retreads and a life member of the American Motorcycle Association. Surviving him, in addition to his wife, Louise, is a daughter, Deborah L. Freeman; four sisters, Mary Morrison, Hazel McMahon, Alma Shoemaker and Jane Deibler; and two grandchildren, Daniel C. and John M. Freeman. He was preceded in death by a sister, Anna Grace Landis and a brother, Elwood Reeves. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, November 3, at the Harris-Mountain Funeral Home, 1030 E. Lincoln Highway, Coatesville. Family and friends may call beginning at 9:30 a.m., at the funeral home. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Coatesville.
