Arthur C. Butler Obituary
Arthur C. Butler of Cochranville Arthur C. Butler, 95, of Cochranville, formerly of Hopewell, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2011 at the Brandywine Hospital. He was the husband of the late Elsie Dempsey Butler with whom he shared 57 years of marriage. Born in Hopewell, he was the son of the late Clement and Miriam Drake Butler. He was employed with Robert Treate Hogg Cabinets and Carpentry for 32 years, as well as Wagon House Furniture for 12 years in Carpentry, and was self-employed before retiring. Arthur enjoyed hunting and fishing, his love of craftsmanship, but most of all his family. He is survived by three sons, Huey Beattie and Bert Beattie of Oxford, Arthur C. Butler of Homeville; daughter, Margaret Hanning of Cochranville, eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, and daughter, Cecilia Phillips of Nottingham. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 27th, 2011 at Edward L. Collins, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 86 Pine St. Oxford, Pennsylvania. Friends and family may call 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26th at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Homeville Cemetery.
