Barbara A. Pilotti Obituary
Barbara A. Pilotti of Coatesville Barbara A. Pilotti, 77, of Coatesville, passed away Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013 at Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late John and Marie Brennan Vare. Barbara graduated from West Chester State College (now West Chester University) in 1968 with a degree in elementary education and earned her master's equivalency in 1976. A lifelong educator, Barbara taught kindergarten at Caln Elementary for over 40 years. During that time, she mentored many teachers. Barbara served as the Coatesville Area Teachers Association (CATA) president for 13 years. Barbara retired after the 2008 school year. Even after she retired, she remained in touch with her beloved school by volunteering a few days a week. She was currently serving as the PSEA Chester County Retired Secretary. One of her greatest joys was her treasured great- grandchildren, Zoey and Casey. She was so much more than a great-grandmother to them and they were blessed to have her in their lives. She is survived by her daughter, Linda and Nikki Jenkins; husband, Frank Pilotti; granddaughter, Alexandria Starr; great- grandchildren, Zoey and Casey Voshell and their father Jeff Voshell; along with many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by a son, Keith Pilotti. Memorial services will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, March 2, at the Harris-Mountain Funeral Home, 1030 E. Lincoln Highway, Coatesville. Family and friends may call to pay their respects beginning at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Coatesville Area Public Library, 501 E.
