Obituary Condolences

Barbara Heiderscheidt of New London Barbara Heiderscheidt, of New London, passed away Dec. 28, 2012, surrounded by family. She was married to Gerald Heiderscheidt with whom she shared 45 years of marriage, now reunited once again. Born in Long Island, she was the daughter of Edna and Richard Recame. Her brother, David, continues to live in N.J. and she was predeceased by her brother Ricky. Barbara graduated from Saint Benedict's University in Minnesota majoring in biology. She continued on to obtain her master's in education from New Paltz. At the age of 60 she obtained her second master's degree in library science from Clarion University. Barbara was a mother, educator, children's librarian and most recently a community outreach coordinator with 4H and Cosecha in Chester County. She enjoyed reading, gardening, sewing, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her six children and their families; Benedict and Manisha with children Sahana and Deven; Paul and Jasmine with children Noah, Salome, Cruz and Luke; Elizabeth and Brian with children Paul, Alexandria and Victoria; Hope and Donny Yau, Grace and Dawn and Mark Hunt. Barbara was a loving, supportive wife and mother who took pride and joy in her family. She was also a devoted member of the Assumption Blessed Virgin Mary Church (ABVM). Services will be held at the ABVM Church located at 300 State Road, West Grove, PA 19390. The viewings will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, and again from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, with a funeral Mass to follow at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the Parkesburg Catholic Cemetery, Parkesburg. In lieu of flowers Barbara has asked that donations be made to the ABVM Church, Parish Office, 105 West Evergreen Street, West Grove, PA 19390.
