Barbara W. Klunk Obituary
Barbara W. Klunk of Downingtown Barbara W. Klunk, 67, of Downingtown, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at her home with her family at her side. She was the beloved wife of Kenneth E. Klunk, Sr., with whom she shared 49 years of marriage. Together they raised four children. Born in Utah, and raised in Berwyn and Downingtown, she was the daughter of the late Robert S. Warner, MD and Dorthea LeCavalier Warner. She was a 1963 graduate of Downingtown Senior High School. Barb was well known in the crafting and quilting community. She was a member of the Penn Oaks Quilters and taught quilting classes for Chester County Night School for many years. Barb was also an outstanding cook, and loved to feed her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of, and volunteered with, the Girl Scouts of America for many years. She most enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, and attending their many activities. Barb enjoyed summers in Ocean City, N.J. and traveling to warmer climates in the winter. In addition to her husband, Kenneth, she is survived by her children, Kenneth E. Klunk, Jr. (Jean), Karen K. Boyd (John), Kelly Thompson, and Brian M. Klunk (Serra); and grandchildren, Stephanie Klunk, Peter Kissinger, Caleb, Rhiannon and Avery Thompson. She is also survived by her step-mother, Margaret Warner, and her four siblings, Sherri Hunter (Martin), Robert S. Warner (Chris), Wendy Warner, and Michael Warner. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 2nd at St. Joseph Church, 338 Manor Ave., Downingtown, where relatives and friends may call from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. A visitation will also be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Downingtown.
