Blair Stevens Newton Obituary
Blair Stevens Newton of West Chester On September 3, 2012, Blair Stevens Newton died at home in West Chester, after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Newton was born in Philadelphia on February 26, 1941. She attended Friends Central School. She met her husband, John Newton, at age 15 and was happily married to her childhood sweetheart for 50 years. Mrs. Newton earned her bachelor's degree in elementary education from the University of Pennsylvania, where she served as treasurer of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority. Mr. and Mrs. Newton moved their family to Paris, France in 1978 where Blair became a member of the American Women's Club of Paris. She was a proud and devoted mother to her two daughters and one son. She served as cub scout den mother, volunteer at Paoli Hospital, treasurer of the Junior Saturday Club of Wayne, member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, member of the Hershey's Mill Golf Club and Hershey's Mill Bowling League. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Newton is survived by her three children, Reid Newton Bodek, John Newton, Jr. and his wife, Missy Newton and Valerie Newton Page and her husband, Peter Page, Jr. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, Harry Bodek, Blair Bodek, Jeffrey Newton, Kate Newton, Matthew Newton, Pete Page, III, Annie Page and Hughes Page.
