Brett Alexander Mickens of Coatesville Brett Alexander Mickens, 47, of Coatesville passed away on November 16, 2011, at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. He was the husband of Donna Baldwin Mickens. Born in Johnstown, he was the son of Geraldine Patterson and the late Johnny Manana. He was a graduate of the West Chester East High School and also attended Lincoln University. He was employed as a technology specialist with the Downingtown Area School District. He attended St. Paul's Baptist Church in West Chester and also New Life In Christ Fellowship in Coatesville. He was a member and held the office of Junior Warden in the Harmony Lodge #21 located in West Chester of Prince Hall Free and Accepted Masons. He loved technology, grilling, fishing and was a master of completing all tasks set before him. In addition to his loving wife and his mother, he is survived by his children, Brett, Jr., Donte, Natasha and Kai; four grandchildren; stepfather, Pete Patterson; siblings, Marcella, Monique, Malissa, Danieal, Lionel, Mitchell, Mark, Michael and John; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, November 26, from the First Baptist Church of Passtown, 117 Barber Avenue, Coatesville. Relatives and friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of services at the church on Saturday, with Masonic services being held at 11:15 a.m. Ministry of Comfort entrusted to Emmett Golden Hunt Memorial Chapel, Inc., Coatesville, 610-380-8000.
