Carl Joseph Kramer Obituary
Carl Joseph Kramer of Coatesville Carl Joseph Kramer, 82, of Coatesville, formerly of Springfield, Del. County, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2013, at Hickory House in Honey Brook. He was the beloved husband of Patricia C. Dangler Kramer, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Carl J. Kramer and Mary Torpey Kramer-Wilson. Mr. Kramer proudly served his country with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was the owner of Kramer and Son's Heating and Air Conditioning. He was employed as a HVAC technician for the Upper Merion School District before retiring. Mr. Kramer was a member of the American Legion Post #227 in Springfield, Delaware County, an original member of the St. Cecilia's Knights of Columbus and a member of the Thorndale Fire Company. He loved to dance and was an avid bowler. He was a past president of the Band Parents Association for Cardinal O'Hara High School Marching Band. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Carl K. Kramer of New Jersey, Suzannemary Kramer of Coatesville and Patrick J. Kramer of California. He is also survived by his brother, Thomas F. Kramer of Washington Crossing, Pa.; and by three grandchildren, Spencer, Zachary and Jonathan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 27th at St. Peter Church, 2835 Manor Road, West Brandywine, where friends may call from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. A visitation will also be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday evening at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown. Interment will be in Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Marple Township. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Carl's name to the Humane League of Lancaster County, 2195 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, PA 17602 or the , 1626 Locust Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
