Caroline P. Malavolta Obituary
Caroline P. Malavolta of Parkesburg Caroline P. Malavolta, 87, of Parkesburg, died Sunday March 9, 2014 at Brandywine Hospital in Coatesville. She was the wife of the late Domenick J. Malavolta. Born in West Chester, she was the daughter of the late W. Earle Parry and the late Anna Thompson Parry. Caroline was a graduate of West Chester High School, class of 1944. She worked as a library technician for 18 years at the CCIU (Chester County Intermediate Unit) and was co-owner with her husband of Dom's Shoe Repair for 42 years. Caroline was a member of the St. Agnes Church in West Chester. She loved to read, embroider, cook, do crossword puzzles and was a big sports fan. Caroline is survived by her children, Carol L. Taylor (Bill) of West Chester, Maryann Seltzer (Bryan) of Parkesburg, Kathleen Sullivan (Bill) of Greenville, S.C., Lewis A. Malavolta (Michelle) of Parkesburg; 15 grandchilren; 21 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Nancy McCardell (Dave) of West Chester, and Edwin Parry (Cidney) of West Chester. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Domenick J. Malavolta, Jr. Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at St. Agnes Church, 233 W. Gay St., West Chester, PA 19380; where visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Interment will be held at St. Agnes Cemetery in West Chester. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the 1626 Locust St. Attn; Memorials, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
